Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu

Iaido is an over 450-year old classical Japanese martial art of drawing and using the samurai sword. The purpose of Iaido is to develop calm mind, awareness, and mental and physical harmony through the practice of traditional sword techniques.

The style of iaido that we practice is Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu, 無雙直傳英信流.
Alameda Genwakan is an official dojo of World MJER Iaido Federation.

Classes are taught through Alameda Recreation and Park Department.


REGULAR SCHEDULE (on hold due to COVID-19): Tuesdays and Thursday 7:45-9:15pm in Veterans Memorial Building.
